Buckle up. ‘Catch kit’ legislation forces miscarriage and abortion patients who use mifepristone to bag up their pregnancy tissue as medical waste. Under the bills—which have been introduced in multiple states and twice nationally—flushing is illegal.
What about contraception?
“Clean water” legislation isn’t just asking state leaders to test for abortion pills, but for hormones used in birth control and gender-affirming care. And while Hamrick told POLITICO in 2022 that SFL’s work was “confined to abortion-inducing drugs,” it’s worth remembering that the organization wants to ban most forms of birth control. (They insist everything from IUDs to the Pill are really ‘abortifacients’.)

"Papa" Doc Duvalier operated under a continuing state of emergency for his entire 16 years at the top -- just like our own Buckra Ron. (Now if only the Legislature would re-finance Buckra's personal militia, the TonTon DeSant.)
Will they also be looking for "date" rape drugs, e.g., Rohypnol ("roofies"), gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), gamma-butyrolactone (GBL), tranquilizers - Valium (diazepam), ketamine. MDMA (ectasy.)

We know that Epstein (and Ghislane Maxwell) got away with sexually assaulting and trafficked underage girls for years- in FL. But, instead of addressing sexual assault of underage girls Republicans are focused on forcing girls, and women into pregnancy and forced birth.
The U.S. already had the highest rate of maternal mortality of all developed countries, particularly among black women. In states like Texas, FL that have passed restrictive abortion bans deaths have increased. As has infant mortality.
According to The Commonwealth Fund report, "Maternal Mortality in the United States, 2025", The South invests less in maternal health and experienced poorer maternal and infant health outcomes, have not expanded Medicaid (uh, FL), or addressed widespread impact of hospital obstetrics unit closure. Maternal deaths are 18-49% higher in states that haven't expanded Medicaid eligibility.
FL Maternal Mortality Review Committee, within FDOH, has not provided annual reports since 2020. These reports are used to stop preventable deaths. Recently, after a FL Trib reporter asked agency officials about the committee's lack of action, FDOH upload reports for deaths from 2021, 2022, 2023 on their website, but with the analyses and recommendations reports being more narrow than previous years. Nothing for after the six week ban went into affect.
Btw, FL Surgeon General Ladapro is a vaccine denier. No one can tell him what to put in his body. Apparently that "freedom" over one's own body doesn't apply to those with an unwanted pregnancy, including from rape, incest.
