I was ASTONISHED at the amounts of $ that have been pouring into the Friends of Jim Boyd committee. Can this be accurate? For example, a PAC called Building On Your Dreams Political Committee gave F.O.JimBoyd $750,000 on 5/30/2024. That same committee has given FOJimBoyd $1.95 million since 1/10/2023, according to the report. WTF! This is insane! More shockers: Tennessee construction company Phillip and Jordan gave Boyd $100K in Feb 2025, during the legislative session. Developer Pat Neal gave Boyd $50K on 10/27/2025. Plus, on the same day, Neal gave Boyd $10,716 in "in-kind" contributions. What does Neal have to give Boyd that is not cash? An office? Does Neal have a private plane? I encourage my Manatee County neighbors to open the Jim Boyd link in this article. The amount of money being given to the Friends of Jim Boyd will shock you, I promise. We need to vote him out. HELL NO JIM BOYD!

But you cant get a simple public records request from Treasurer, Eric Robinson. Requested a few receipts to verify some unusual expenditures... Treasurers must maintain receipts to match expenditures of Campaign funds by law. Within 2 hours Eric emailed me back, he said, "I have nothing responsive to your request." Oh, ok, so we dont keep records or receipts for millions of dollars of expenditures, how do we know anything at all was actually purchased? Are we on the honor system now?? 😂😂😂 Funny but not funny, he'd be among the first wave I'd love to see go. Residents of Florida have no idea the hundreds of millions at their disposal for living the life of the rich and famous. Everyone who owns a home in Florida should look at a handful of campaign reports. Its Money laundering 101 to obscure the source and definitely the destination! Building on your Dreams (Boyd) gives himself $1.9 to Friends of Jim Boyd in 3 transactions. $22,664 in interest from a Bank not registered to his PAC, Fidelity Investments, out of Boston, a clear cut statutory violation of Florida and Federal campaign finance laws, prohibiting any long term investing of campaign funds. So in an out of state bank or in his pockets, what is the difference? $54,000 additional interest paid from his PAC bank, Centennial. How much money would it take to receive $75,000 just on campaign contributions illegally parked? He is "the #1 Go to guy" who's accounts exploded with cash after 2022 pro insurance reforms were pushed through. Facts dont lie, but our Tallahassee Legislators sure do! What a guy!
I have a fourth grader and the first story makes me feel ill. I didn't know about this law. Can parents do anything to fight back at this point? There is so much B.S. going on that slips through the cracks.
I don't have kids in the system anymore. I think they should be in public schools but I would have to home school them but that has its own credential issues. Leave the state ??

There are a LOT of us in Tallahassee, but much like at the federal level we don't have any power. Protesting and outrage seems to be all we can do. A number of my dem friends have left the state but I'm not ready to give up yet. I have high hopes for the midterms... but if those are a bust that might be my red line.

There was no talk about the economy. Bernie wins because he talks about NAFTA and China. People wanted to vote for him and he got pushed out.

I manage several of these appropriation grants for a different state agency, and they are cost-reimbursement. So they have to show us receipts and get reimbursed. However, I still think most of them are overpriced handshake deals.
