I was wondering the other day why all of the media has dropped the abortion rights issues and the medical medical marijuana.
Imagine if this tax money had been spent on providing millions of Floridians with health coverage and women with free conception!! That would go a long way to reduce abortions to practically zero.. or hummm - what is the goal here or do they even have the thinking skills to reach any goal besides control?
It is horrifying what is happening with reproductive rights and it's all getting lost in the firehouse of news.As scripted by P2025,MAGAs are now going after birth control.Although should not be a surprise in Fl where DeSantis vetoed money for long-acting hormonal contraception at the Catholics Bishops request....and I believe that was 4 years ago!

I over heard a bunch of old, white, (ignorant) males sitting at a cafe telling each other a women's place is in the home. The cafe was owned by a liberal woman and it was a vegan cafe.... eye roll.

While I was a Orange County charter commissioner 2024. CRC had passed 10 amendments to be put forward to the voters of Orange County in November 2024. I’d ask legal council about trying to put out a PSA on Orange TV explaining from a neutral standpoint each of the amendments. I was told by council it was illegal for us to put out any type of information by government.
How is DeSantis allowed to do this? Shouldn’t this be challenging in court with the outcome if found guilty. These two constitutional amendments should be reconsidered by the citizens 2026/8? Due to illegal interference by Florida government.
Ps all charter amendments passed, although state government is attempting to preempt OC on a few of them.

We hear so much about how Florida is a super red state - I wonder if that would still be the case if Floridians REALLY understood how they are being conned and betrayed by their MAGA "public servants." The outrageous lies and extreme exaggerations used by MAGA republicans create an alternate reality which allows them to sow hate, division, and chaos into our lives for the sole purpose of achieving and maintaining power.
They don't even believe in the ideology they promote - it's all about money and power. For all the "Freedom of Speech" rhetoric they spew, you can be sure your piece would be banned from any school curriculum highlighting corruption in government. It's too fact-based and real - more damning, it's in their own words.

I'll say it again too. The private equity buying houses is the final solution or last step to push out our private property ownership by "little people". The root causes of this issues (and many economic woes) stems from the 1990s bankers induced S&L fraud which lead to 2008 crash and burn.

Yes, and the track housing has no front porches. Just a small covered area to go in. No storage in the house which forces people to rent an additional storage unit. Poor design, low quality - fast, cheap quality for an expensive price. If you want a landscape with plants - that's on you. Grass and tree and it passes and they usually put the tree to close to the house.
Yes, and no sidewalks No parks to walk too (they use the homeless people as an excuse to create no public spaces).
I can say - if you drive through (at least mine) tourism areas, they have large front porches etc. They can at least walk to the beach. No much for sidewalks per say unless it's a Seaside or Watercolor build subdivision for them.
nothing short of a 'revolution' will change things, and unfortunately we are massively out-gunned. non-compliance is our only weapon. blue team or red, they're ultimately the same (corrupt af, and neither gives a damn what we want), so we can't vote our way out of tyranny. nor can we take to the streets, because troops and cops are not on the side of the people. a nationwide general strike is our only hope. no work, no school, no shopping online or off. a general strike is being planned for mayday 2026, which seems far away. but in the meantime we can begin preparing. withdrawing in every way possible. I'm so tired of this ish...
