Thanks for catching DeSantis and his enablers with their hands in the till again.

I always like to remind people who are trying to understand why DeSantis is so opposed to slow or controlled growth and so loved up with developers since he is from Florida. I'm from Miami 1958 and never moved out of the state. I lived and loved Growth Management. DeSantis, however, seems to have gotten the hell outta here after high school, never held a job in the private sector and appears to be somewhat of a po boi with a glamorized vision of himself who needs those Big Bucks that the developers have delivered. As far as I can tell, he has never experienced the Wonderment of the results of Growth Management, breathed clean air, went outside when there wasn't a heat seal because of all the Paving of Paradise, and et cetera et cetera et cetera. A Home Boy gone amuck? Uh-uh, just another ne'er-do-well "politician" who needed Daddy Big Bucks to achieve his goal - which never happened. Now we Real Republican Floridians are left to clean up his never-ending mess. Thank you, JASON GARCIA, for another packed to the gills newsletter.

Each week brings us more evidence that Team DeSantis is rotting from the head down. Good to see Matt Dixon is thriving in this target-rich environment. I remember him from his brief tenure at the Times-Union where his archival investigative skills began to emerge. This is one of the more troubling things about DeSantis: He knows just enough about history and law to try to cover his tracks like the Florida alligator covers it tracks with its broad tail. Not saying Dee has a big tail, but he certainly has reptilian instincts and an alligator hide.

It's so important to be informed on all of the corrupt and nefarious agendas from Florida's state legislators. However, there is no hopeless as every single one of us can make a difference - big or small. The first is to make sure you're registered to vote. The second is to contact your local Democratic office and say you'd like to pitch in either writing postcards, making calls or simply showing up to school board / county meetings. You don't have to fight for all the causes, but can pick and choose. At Dear Bubbie, we focus mostly on Education. Florida is a paradise, but we have to step up to the plate to save it in the midterms. Even contributing an hour a month is a footprint to success.

A news site ran by Ron DeSantis sounds like it would be as badly ran as The Stanford Prison Experiment.

Florida has never had much of a middle class. The statistics show a skewed result for "averages' in order to justify "market rents". The constantly moving military keep spouses and kids available for low wages jobs because they had little choices. Now, with base re-alignments etc - there are less workers for menial jobs.

However, let's also not forget to discuss what the root cause of 2008 actually is - stated income loans by bogus banks and fraudulent appraisal brought on by bankers self selection of agencies to do them. Now, we are still over prices for our houses which segregates society even more between have and have nots. The Best Way to Rob a Bank is to Own One by Bill Black (who's team put 90s bankers in jail for the same thing). Read it. What are you afraid of?
