I have lived in Central Florida most of my life. I’m very curious about cancer rates of areas in the prevailing winds from the mines and also the people who worked them. Although I’d be relieved to not have gypsum stacks towering in the distance, to think of this radioactive waste being spread out all around the state makes me want to sell out and move somewhere else. Ron Deathsantis is dangerous to our lives and freedom and so are all the other corporate-owned politicians from this state. Our legislature sold out years ago by passing campaign donation laws that makes pay-to-play legal. Voter and protest repression have been weaponized against vulnerable communities. We are not doing well here.

I remember that Mosaic sinkhole that leaked radioactive Phosphogypsum into the Florida aquifer. The company didn’t report it for three weeks! As for tires, instead of radioactive waste, used tires can repair roads. Asphalt lobbyists nixed it in the past, but it’s making a comeback in places like Michigan. https://ecogreenequipment.com/using-recycled-tires-for-road-repairs/ Linda Stewart voted with Republicans on secrecy around death penalty chemicals used in Florida. She then blocked me on Twitter when I spoke. Vote Linda Stewart out! Ronald Reagan said, “Someone once said that politics is the second-oldest profession. I'm beginning to think it bears resemblance to the first." These welfare queen, parasitic corporations that the likes of DeSantis and Stewart pander to have to be held accountable by the people. Education is needed for people to reject the 19th century European Baron culture of green lawns that need fertilizer, start composting and use their land for growing food and driving less to corporate food stores, like Publix, that donate to Republicans. I don’t drive in Florida anymore. Not easy to get around in this toll-road tyrannical state, but now that the roads may be radioactive, it’s a better choice to go car-free.
