The weakening of child labor laws is happening in red states throughout the country. Some, if not all, do not allow for lawsuits by injured children or their parents if a child should die as a result of his/her employment.

As indentured servitude/slavery grows within the red states, it will be the corporate design should Republicans sweep the election next year. Minimum wage laws will disappear, and as more babies are being produced to feed the greed of the wealthy, children will not require an a education past basic reading and math skills, easily accomplished by third grade.

Republicans know exactly what they're doing. It's quite smug for Chaney to get up there shilling for the Restaurant industry and her high dollar donor to get kids to make up for the lost labor after they passed that disastrous undocumented immigrant bill. To any sane parent out in Florida, CALL HER TODAY and demand she disqualify her bill. You see the Republicans in Tallahassee coming back year after year trying and winning to gut laws in place to protect people. They only people they are protecting are their donors. I don't get why Floridians Democrats let this happen. You must get out and vote this year. This is wrong on so many levels. A kid under 18 is a "youth worker" according to Chaney. Well, if they aren't children, let them read the banned books after all it sounds like you are calling a 16 year old "an adult" because they can work adult shifts.

This bill would put borderline students, drunk with the idea they're going to make money in a cycle of bad grades and subsequent failing in school. It will happen, mark my words. And then what. That kid is going to be trapped in the low wage carousel that Florida is famous for. The big Retail/Restaurant groups are behind this because immigrant help left the state. Now they will exploit the "youth" because Chaney wants to teach them the value of a dollar. Yeah, that's about right. There is even language in the bill such that kids and the parents will not be able to receive compensation should Johnny fall off the roof. Instead of crafting a "Hands Free Cell Phone Law" for motorists they will dabble with kids, keeping them poor and uneducated, something that fuels the Low Wage State of Florida

Moreover, these attempts to weaken stringent Child Labor Laws are the brainchild of Corporations with conservative values. They will take kids back to the 1920's where child labor flourished. If they are successful in decimating Public Education we are going to have a glut of uneducated, low wage earners that are the envy of the Republican Party. A good education will only be affordable to the wealthy if they are ever successful in weakening Public Education. As more Red states try to steer public tax money to "voucher schools" and religious schools, Public schools will have a hard time competing for those dollars. Here's a fun fact, statistics show that the wealthy (who already send their kids to Private schools) are getting the same money from these "Public Choice" shell games. Think about that! The wealthy are getting handouts! Remember Chris Rufo? He is Desantis right hand man to ruin Public Education. WE can't let them get anywhere near the White House!
