Before I say this remember - Trump said the economy does better under the Dems. But here in Florida we have been under the republican mob rule for a couple of decades now. While the rest of the country might be doing well - Florida economy is not.
As they say - it's the economy stupid. The worst part is that what happens in FL is not likely to stay in Florida....
It seems that this Florida economy is meant for wealthy landowners, Republicans and Politicians and no one else. The Right to work is really a right of business to exclude union shops from existing except for the relative few. Just look at what they did to the Teachers Union. Sad! I don't see how people can vote for them when Tallahassee screws them every-single-year. Is it the lack of education or just retirees gumming up the works....
Agreed! And, the military retires here too. That's how they got cheap labor because the spouses had little choice and the kids were cheap summer labor until they moved away.
I was shocked to find out the schools have gone to self teaching model - it's old crap with a new name "collaborative learning" student teach students... omg.
If the Dems didn't elect Nikki Fried - I'd say there was no hope.
However, it was great to see 300 people show up in Tallahassee for climate change.
OH MY GOD! Can this legislative body become anymore hitched to the class of people Ron allegedly despises? Yes, we're talking about the Global Elitist's, the Uber wealthy but not everyday working Floridians. If the idea of eliminating property taxes goes away, crime probably would skyrocket as Police budgets would be cut, Fire Houses would not get built. But sure this is the idea they are floating. This comes from some freshman Representative who wants to make a name for himself. Let's find out how much in Sales Tax money is collected vs Property Taxes. My guess is that sales taxes don't come close enough to money raised through property taxes. And what if there is another pandemic???
The former communist party in Bulgaria now own most of all the private property in Bulgaria and are the rich people. Florida is the same way. It's corporate communism. And hey, what happened to CAVEAT EMPTOR? Stupid people buying timeshares. Too bad. They lose.
