great article, every Floridian should read this.

This article never explains the reasons for the rate increase. I am not excited to pay more but this article does nothing to learn the reasons behind this decision.

Jason, are you aware that Gentry filed to run for Florida House District 27, 2024 election? He said that Floridians need an advocate. How can I reach you in follow-up?

Good journalism unfortunately doesn't find its way into the light

I HATE POLITICS for this very reason. Self-dealing and lack of transparency.

This article needs to be up and front within the front pages of Nextdoor as well as The Florida Weekly. And a modified version for the Breeze.

I wrote a similar article, but, nowhere near as detailed.

Taking into consideration what DeSantis did to Rebekah Jones, he needs to be called out. But, at the same time, protect yourself. Some people don’t like looking in mirrors.

Ron DeSantis is a picked off scab, he's a typical politician, doesn't do crap for the little guy or people who make less than 6 figures,he's shown his colors and would never get my vote. He's a disgrace to the Navy but wouldn't deserve a salute

Hi Jason...I read the transcript and I still don't know what the money is for in this case. I know the hypothetical reasoning and I know about the RSAM (which sounds OK to me, but then again I think like a business person), but I don't know what the rate increase is all about. I guess I will need to look into that further.

I thought our governor was to help the citizens of the State of Florida. Why would he make citizen supper by increasing your utilities bills by 5 billion dollars. We fight back at the voting polls. Outrageous ridiculous. Definitely not presidential candidate material. This is this complaint disgusting

SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN FP&L DONATE TO A SATANIC DEMON ? HE ALLOWS THEM TO RIP U OFF

I live in Florida and FP&L sucks. I use Arcadia which is solar, but it is actually processed through FP&L, so I have to pay their rates plus an Arcadia fee.

Yet, republicans continue to vote for these clowns and grifters whose actual constituents are corporations. The same can be said for homeowners insurance. DeSatan to hundred of thousands from them and now are insurance rates double every year; and that’s if you get insurance. Most insurance companies have left the state.

Writing this as a Republican, this is Journalism at its BEST! Great article Jason Garcia! I appreciate your time searching & digging for truth & the players in this "game" of monopoly!

Politics should never be involved with a money takeover of anything! But we see it all the way to the top! Even the "top" answers to lobbyists. Our nation has been stolen from each & every one of us! We are in a sad state of affairs!

Ty for this piece, wonder if there's a response from DeSant!

How did this political add get onto this platform?

Give us all the information. Electricity rates increased across the country. Florida was somewhere in the middle for increases and has lower rates than many states.
