Why should programs plant trees when all Florida can do is rip them apart. We should have rural that demand maintenance. It creates more traffic, more cars, less transportation options. If consumers think these costs will magically disappear - they don’t the developers kick it down the road and you’ ll pay for it when you least expect it.

THE problem with housing is appraisal fraud. The bankers used accounting control frauds to jack the price of housing that only the top 5% can ever afford to buy and sell to each other. It's complex but not really. Please read Bill Black, lawyer and PhD - The best way to rob a bank is to own on.

"To be fair, this is a complex issue. Overly restrictive zoning and land-use controls — which are largely determined by local governments and often popular with voters who already own a home — constrict the supply of housing. They have been a key contributor to the affordable housing crisis in Florida and other states — and to income inequality across the United States."

We have plenty of houses for sale in the panhandle. NO ONE CAN AFFORD IT. There are tons of empty vacation rentals for 1/3 of the year or more. There is housing - it's out of our reach.

The power of these groups to commodify the entirety of this state, including citizens born here is staggering. Environmental protections put in place decades ago have been dismantled and resource protections nullified. Who is accountable? A state with a population under 2M when I was a child is now over 22M. Our water quality is a shambles and most people are living in a Disney inspired vacation hallucination.
