Lobbyists for Realtors tried to kill a plan to slow suburban sprawl in Orange County. Then they pretended to support that plan in campaign ads for a candidate they want to win a key local race.
It is the corrupted state government that has done pay to play since 2019.. There was always the rich developers taking over the county governments and getting ok’s to build build build. Palm Beach County has had quite a few go to jail for going against the laws back in the 80’s. The rules have been broken and it is pure greed and no thought AT ALL about the quality of life. Just urban sprawl. No Community feel and as a young person told me recently there is nothing to do that you can afford!?! Desantis has made the state into his little kingdom because those rich developers and corporations pay him to do their bidding by giving him campaign money for his next presidential bid?!!
Orange County Animal Services is deplorable. They are so overcrowded, they have to put multiple dogs in the same kennel, locking them up together overnight. Dogs have died from the inevitable dog fights. Staff have been injured breaking up the fights that occur almost daily. If a private pet shelter had so many dogs injured by dog fights, the owner would be arrested. We need a commission that will fix OCAS. Subjecting dogs to fighting is inhumane. Co-housing dogs is criminal cruelty and should end now. Close the guillotine doors and separate the dogs to keep them safe. Shame on OCAS for allowing this to continue year after year after year. Candidates should take a stand and voters should vote accordingly.
It's just semi- suicidal to keep sprawling this country. Why have air filters and water filters? The 1% are slowly going to suffocate all of us.

If these groups have their way FL will become one contiguous city sprawling into the next. It’s hideous.
