our local, state, and federal governments are all corrupt, and it's been that way for a while, it was just never so obvious. but as long as the monkeys in our banana republic keep insisting we're #1 and 'exceptional,' it will only get worse. it's just so embarrassing when we point fingers at other countries (and mortifying when we send weapons and troops to bring them 'democracy').
Did you hear Boeing's new slogan? When one door opens so does another one.... Boeing, universities, and major companies have replaced senior , experienced managers with 20 to 30 year olds. That's another issue
Well, I guess when some comments seem rather negative, then that means you are doing an adequate job of reporting and it is getting under their skin. I follow what Florida is doing even though I live in Texas. Keep fighting the good fight.
Blah, blah, blah. For everyone that resigns, there is another person willing to do the job. Maybe the place was a swamp that needed to be drained. Who knows. Because folks worked at a place for a long time that doesn’t necessarily mean that things were effectively being done. Rather, it could mean that change was impossible with the old staff because they were set in their ways.

Me: If you visit the District over on Linkedin, you will see how the new leadership has the audacity to brag about Reedy Creek accomplishments that they claim are their own. RCID was run very well.
Right, they needed to drain the swamp and replace them with unqualified politicians, advisors and businessmen who worked for DeSatan, or gave big dollars to DeSatan’s campaign for president.
And not only aren’t these people qualified to run a city (district), apparently their lack of experience equates to higher salaries. Yeah, that’s draining the swamp!
The number is closer to 40 unplanned departures which is about 10% of the entire employee roster. That kind of attricion in less than a year is terrible by any standards, but compared to their history which regularly keeps employees 15+ years and loses mainly to retirement.. that number is a very clear indicator of the toxicity.
Since apparently you didn’t bother to read the article, here’s some pertinent info below, and it definitely IS a lot of people and ones that held important positions. The only thing slanted here is you.
“The departures include nearly half the senior leadership team at the agency formerly known as the Reedy Creek Improvement District — including the district administrator, chief financial officer, building official, fire chief and district clerk.”
Ron seems to have the accountability of a Guantanamo warden - and us - we're the inmates of Rontanamo.
Authoritarianism. Chilling.

DeSantis proves that Florida is truly a Mickey Mouse operation…..
Top shelf reporting! Well done Mr. Garcia!
Jason, you left out some really good details about the real issues behind the mass exodus. We should find a time to meet and discuss.

Replacing competent managers with political appointees given a huge salary as payback for support okay with you or nah?
