Ah! well - the Op Ed in the Boston Globe said it all.
If the conversation that was published between Nikki Fried and Kamala Harris is honest - did Kamala not really know and/ or care that she was losing Jewish Democrat voters in FL?
That's a huge slap to all the hard work Nikki Fried put into Florida. That's not just a job for her - it was a passion.
I have another suggestion that gets black balled but I'll keep posting it. We must resolve 2008 housing crisis to move forward. William Bill Black - The Best Way to Rob a Bank is to Own One.
I think you guys really hit the nail on the head of why the red wave happened again in Florida even with more voter turnout compared to 2022. I think that the next person who will be running against the GOP in Florida for the governor seat really needs to stick the home insurance, the cost of living and lack of affordable housing, the abortion bans, and the authoritarian like actions of DeSantis and his minions within the Florida legislature to the GOP of Florida. They really need to make a case and multiple connections that the GOP did this and this is why you are paying 3X the amount of everyone else in the state for home insurance, this is why women and young girls have no freedom, this is the GOP not listening to the voters when amendments 4 got more yes votes than DeSantis did in 2022.
They also need to start out smaller in the state with more voter outreach and working on flipping a couple of seats within the state government to crack the super majority and win some more state wide races. Maybe the next person who runs as a democrat might not with the governor job but they might be able to help make the state more competitive in other ways.
I think they also need to find common ground with the culture issues that a lot of center / right leaning people aren't for at all. Trans women in girls sports and using the bathroom. Simple fixes - more bathrooms and another column for trans sports. You have a boys league, a girls league and a trans league. Just some ideas because they need to do something because a lot of people in the state are not represented at all and we are being ignored by the GOP
Thanks for that conversation, I feel more well-informed however it could just be that I agree with you guys. Who was it that called the Democratic Party in Florida, “the team that plays against the Globetrotters; they’re paid to lose.” And of course Sanders was right.

The billionaire Chair before Nikki Fried destroyed the final Dems in Florida. This has been decades in the making.
Florida's #1 issue is Insurance # 2 Housing (2008 crisis - How to Rob a Bank is to Own One) #3 Abortion. DeSantis created the immigration non issue.
Florida's tourists expect us to clean up and entertain them. The retired who move here expect housekeeping, lawns, and maintenance
