In a nutshell, the formation of a totalitarian state and its dictator.

Thanks so much for your work. Would love if you could also report on the anti-ESG bill that passed.

Yeah, that's an important one to mention. Although I didn't articulate it, I was sorta focusing this list on the avalanche of stuff that passed in the final week of session, rather than stuff like HB 3 or the tort reform bill (HB 837) that passed earlier in session.

We did have a story about the ESG bill a few weeks ago:

Ron DeSantis’ crackdown on “woke” banks could help a big Ron DeSantis donor

Not a single state Senate Democrat voted against diverting lottery proceeds to benefit convenience stores over education. None opposed passing on to consumers the costs of a larger utility's overbidding on the purchase of a small local water system. No Florida Senate Democrat favors allowing localities to restrict the use of lawn fertilizers in their own jurisdictions, but they are down with protecting Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk from damages due to their companies' negligence, not to mention making it difficult to buy electric cars. It's downright appalling. Is there a Democratic equivalent for RINO?

I agree. Why should I vote for any Dems in FL? They all vote the same way. WTF?

DINO…as in dinosaur!

My God. It’s a breathtaking array of the fascistic culture’s war on the citizenry.

Senate Bill 170, 1068, 2502, and House Bill 1645 are ironically funny. "Bastard DC don't tell local governments how to operate or what to do. Now you dumb activist county and city governments shut up, your Governor knows better than you."

But the next hurricane season will arrive leaving behind devastation that brings the governor begging for the federal government to provide monetary relief. Just like Idaho -- we don’t want any affiliation with the federal government! Leave us alone to take care of our people!

Until the next disaster that leaves them unable to clean it up.

Exactly. A BS commentary just to tell people what to do, for the sake of telling people what to do.

All of this makes me sick to my stomach.

Just reading about HB1521. So,if people are now required to use bathrooms that line up with their sex at birth ,wouldn’t that open the door(literally) for non-transgender men to enter women’s restrooms?

And as a female with large hands and feet, could someone not mistake my gender and demand I leave a restroom ? I fear there will be attacks on all genders. Apparently not thought out as with the extreme abortion bans where women are starting to sue because of their near-death experiences.
